Versus is the diffusion line of the Italian house of Versace. Begun in 1989, Versus was resurrected by Donatella Versace in 2009 with a capsule collection designed by Christopher Kane. Today, the collection is under the direction of designer Anthony Vaccarello. Taking its inspiration from the cool, laid back atmosphere, textures, colours and print combinations which the brand stands for, the Versus look is a mix of underground street style, rock music, teenage angst and youthful experimentation. Lace-up details, tie-dye fabrics and sequin embellishments, Mongolian sheepskin and leather biker jackets throw in unexpected textures while thigh high boots and mini-skirts keep the attitude fresh and contemporary. The Versus girl is tough and has a confident, punk attitude.
